Drawing of Yamaha R6

I’m pleased to say that I’ve recently finished my first ever drawing of a motorbike. It is a pencil drawing of a Yamaha R6 and if you’re interested buying your very own motorbike drawing,  please just fill out the order form on my commission a portrait page and I’ll be more than happy to help you.

Motorbike Drawing of a Yamaha R6

Pencil Drawing of Yamaha R6I was asked to draw this impressive looking motorbike as a gift for the bike’s owner from his wife and as my first motorbike drawing, I was absolutely thrilled to have the chance to do it. The commission itself was a 12in x 8in pencil drawing and I have been reliably informed that the gift went down very well with her husband.

The Biker’s Creed

As well as the bike itself she also asked me to add an inscription which, when I did a bit of research, turned out to be a sort of ‘Biker’s Creed’ which I thought I’d share with you to give you some extra flavour.

“This is my Motorcycle. There are many like it, but this one is MINE. My Motorcycle is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. My Motorcycle without me is useless. Without my Motorcycle I am useless.”

I’m not a biker myself, but I have always been fascinated by them. I even took my CBT a few years ago with the intention of learning to ride, but since then I’ve had two lovely children so I’ve put those plans on hold. For now, I guess I’ll have to settle for drawing them rather than riding them.

Commission your own motorbike drawing

So, if there’s a motorbike you’d like to have as a pencil drawing, or maybe you know someone special who’d love to have one, then why not commission a portrait yourself? Whether it’s a modern sports bike, a classic Harley, or a vintage Enfield that you’re interested in, I would be very happy to draw it for you, so please get in touch.

I look forward to hearing from you.

I am very impressed with your drawing of the motorcycle on your website, and I would like to get a drawing done of my husband’s favourite/first bike. I am in the process of trying to find a suitable picture for you to sketch from.

I was also wondering how much you charge for the drawings. Obviously I appreciate that all drawings are individually priced, but I think that the 12 x 8 drawing would be about the same as what I would require, and I would appreciate a rough price.

    Many thanks

    Caroline
