1st (Paper) Wedding Anniversary Gift Pencil Portrait

As my second post on my new blog, I thought I’d share with you a pencil portrait that I recently completed of a bride and groom on their wedding day. The portrait was a 1st Wedding Anniversary gift (Paper Wedding Anniversary gift) from the husband to his lovely wife to celebrate one year of marriage together.

Pencil Drawing of Bride and GroomThe portrait original was 16″ x 12″ (~A3) and included a romantic message to his wife which I wrote in an artistic script and added in the top left corner (I’ve removed the message for their privacy). I think they make a really lovely couple and I’d like to take this opportunity to wish them the best of luck in their future together.

A pencil portrait like this makes a great gift idea for anyone looking for a special and original way to mark the end of the first year of marriage, so make note husbands if you want to earn some serious brownie points!

So if you’d like to commission a portrait as a 1st Wedding Anniversary gift, just head over to my commission a portrait page and we’ll take it from there, thanks.

I’ve been looking for a good idea for my first wedding anniversary and I think this is a great idea. Nice and romantic and fits in with the paper theme perfectly.
